Neighborhood Arts Program - Internship Job Description
Purpose of the Internships
The NAP Internship Program provides professional on-the-job training that cannot be duplicated in the classroom. The purpose of an internship is to provide students with practical professional experience under the direct supervision and guidance of Redmoon Teaching Artists, Educators and/or Artistic Staff. All internships are considered short-term apprentice opportunities and are therefore unpaid positions.
Internship Overview
Redmoon Theater’s Neighborhood Arts Programs Internship program is an apprenticeship experience that provides excellent opportunities to learn and work in our Neighborhood Arts community programs. Interns will be exposed to Redmoon’s unique brand of theater making which includes mechanical performance objects, masks, puppets, automata, vehicles, and costumes. Intern positions available are: Teaching Artists, Administrative, Production Assistant, and Stage Management, Curriculum Development, Documentation and Assessment.
The program provides the intern with practical training and experience by working with community outreach and arts-integrated programs as well as developing a better understanding of all aspects of working within a non-profit arts organization.
