After Looptopia

Thanks to all the Redmoon fans who braved the cold and stayed up late with us at Looptopia!

With six site installations and a finale spectacle at Daley Plaza involving thousands of fans, fire towers, and a human-sized ratwheel (complete with human-sized rat) exploding with fireworks, Redmoon’s share of the Looptopia festivities was alive with all the spectacle and grandeur you have come to expect from Redmoon…sites that highlighted the organic and urban collision of architecture in the Loop: a naked man in a bathtub filled with cabbage; a woman in a welding mask endlessly pacing her environment of potatoes; a mad scientist farming mixed greens; and a teacher admiring her green apples.

There was fire, there were vegetables, and there was a dedicated group of actors and crew that worked long into the wee hours of the night (and weeks previously) to bring Redmoon to Chicago’s Loop.

Thank you once again for playing with us.

Check out the massive flickr and YouTube (middle of the page) responses from the event if you get a chance. Thank you Redmoon Fans! Viral marketing rocks!
